Professional Tool Reviews for Pros

Two of the latest DeWalt battery chargers let Pros quickly charge dead batteries in record time. Debuting in Spring 2020, the DCB1112 12-amp Fast Charger and DCB1106 6-amp Charger are billed as fast and efficient, keeping you and your team as productive as possible.

The DeWalt DCB1112 12-Amp Fast Charger has the highest charge rate of the 20V Max and FlexVolt platforms. It can take a dead 3.0/9.0Ah FlexVolt battery to 80% capacity in under 45 minutes. For reference, the Milwaukee Super Charger can fully recharge an XC 8.0Ah High Output battery (slightly lower Wh rating) in the same amount of time.

It also gives you a method for determining when that magic 80% charge has been attained. DeWalt has designed a 2-Stage LED system to communicate this sort of information to the user. The first LED indicator blinks until the battery reaches an 80% charge, at which point it goes to solid green. The second LED then blinks until the battery reaches a full charge. Then, both LEDs light up to let you know that the battery has fully charged, rather than you having to pull the battery from the charger to check the state.

The DeWalt 12-Amp Fast charger also features fan-assisted cooling, through-hole mounts, a latch to lock the battery onto the charger for travel, and double insulation that meets UL compliance.

The DeWalt DCB1112 retails for $99 and comes with a 3-year warranty/1-year free service agreement/90-day money-back guarantee.

DeWalt will also release a charger with more of a versatile approach to recharging. The DCB1106 DeWalt 6-amp charger can charge the brand’s 20V Max, FlexVolt (60V), and 12V Max batteries.

DeWalt tells us that this charger can manage to take a 5.0Ah 20V Max battery to that 80% charge status in under 45 minutes as well.

Like the DCB1112, the DeWalt DCB1106 charger features the 2-Stage LED format, through-hole mounts, travel latching, and double insulation.

The DCB1106 DeWalt 6-amp Charger retails for $79 and comes with DeWalt’s unique 3/1/90 warranty.

Arguably one of the oldest tools known to humanity is the hammer. The irony is that we’re still trying to come up with new ways to improve it! While it might be a prehistoric tool, it’s unlikely to go extinct any time soon since most homes (at least in the USA) are still constructed out […]

This review started off as a sort of bait and switch. You see, I was asked if I would like to review “a tool belt or two” for Pro Tool Reviews. “Sure, send them over,” I said. Reviewing and choosing the right or best tool belt or tool rig isn’t hard if you’re picking from a few products. After […]

Just nitpicking but to be clear and to be sure someone doesn’t grab the wrong charger, your section heading says “DEWALT DCB112 12-AMP FAST CHARGER” should be DCB1112.

“It can take a dead FlexVolt battery to 80% capacity in under 45 minutes (presumably their 2Ah 60V pack).”

According to the press release they are actually referring to the 9Ah/3Ah DCB609, which is nice.
